Aged Hakka Orange Tea ( 陳年客家虎ミカン茶(ちんねんはっかとらみかんちゃ） ) |
Orange are in season during the Christmas. Hakka Pomelo tea & Hakka Orange tea are fruit teas made by the Hakka villages during the autumn and winter months, when there is spare time from farming. In the past, it was a means of extra income for the Hakka after the autumn harvest. Pomelo tea is a healthy drink, and attests to the thriftiness and diligence of the Hakka.
In some Hakka village of Northern Taiwan, this 1990s' vintage oolong tea aged in tiger orange skin is enjoyed as a medicinal health tonic. The tea is often brewed with small broken pieces of the tiger orange skin included and yields a dark brown liquor with clear citrus fragrance. Give it a long steep with full boiling water.
十年以上秘蔵してきたこ虎ミカン茶は、北台湾の客家農村に元々保健薬として風邪予防のために飲まれてきました。潤肺、咳き止めの効果のあるこのお茶は、茶湯は濃く、爽やかな柚子の香りを漂う甘酸っぱいの台湾客家風味です。

Jin Xuan Oolong 2008 first flush ( 金萱ウーロン茶 2008 新茶 登場 ) |
Jin-Xuan Oolong is a special sub-variety of Green Oolong with a special fragrance and a light milky scent.
Jin-Xuan is a special variety of Camellia Sinensis developed by Taiwan Tea Agricultural Research center. This special variety is known for producing an Oolong with a special fragrance with a very light creaminess.
台湾もこの冬は寒さが厳しかったです。今年に入って坪林地方には雪が降りました。これは5年ぶりのことだそう。現地に「新茶はどう?」と聞いても、「まだ寒くて摘んでいないよ。今年は二週間ほど遅れそうだ」という返事。Tea Masterはやきもきしていました。
寒さが長く続いた今年は、特に甘い金木犀のような香りが濃く、ミルクのような甘い香りもする。中国茶初心者の方にこのお茶を飲ませたら、今まで持っていた中国茶の観念を見事に覆すことになるでしょう。

Premium Bai Hao Oolong (Oriental Beauty Tea) ( 東方美人茶(とうほうびじんちゃ) ) |
Well known highly fermented tea in Northern Taiwan. This Oriental Beauty Tea is a rare one from Ehr Mei County. Enhenced by our Teamaster, this tea is a harmonization of fruity and honey flavour. Because it is made from tender, white-tipped tea bods, it is also called “White Tip Oolong?Medium-bodied, this type of tea has an intoxicating floral aroma and an intense, rich aftertaste of honey and peach that lingers in your mouth. For added enjoyment a small amount of brandy mixed with this tea can result to a more marvelous taste. Bai Hao Oolong has other names as Oriental beauty tea, Champagne Oolong or Formosa Oolong are indicating a same tea.
重発酵茶で、新竹県産の稀少な東方美人茶です。新芽だけを摘んで焙製(ばいせい)しています。新芽には白い毛のようなものがついてることから白毫ウーロン茶と呼ばれています。果物や蜂蜜の香りと赤く澄んだ水色で、お茶の中でも珍しい一品です。今回のお茶はバランスの取れた果物と蜂蜜の香りで、東方美人茶の中でも、珍品です。（限定販売）

Green tea, has been drunk for thousands of years in Asia for its taste and its health benefits. Once picked, the leaves are immediately dried to prevent fermentation. Ti kuan yin Tea ( 鉄観音茶(てっかんのんちゃ) ) |
Medium-ferrnented tea grows in Northern Taiwan. This tea sometimes have nutty overtones,like smoked chestnuts. A light “airy?character with lightly noted orchid-like hints and a sweet fragrant.
中度の発酵をさせたお茶で 産地は台湾北部です。茶葉は丸く、水色は琥珀、火入れの時間が長いため味が濃厚です。飲んだ後、喉から甘い味が伝わってきます。

Our green tea is with special processing different from the Japanese green tea. In order to preserve the original nutritional content inside the tea leaves, our green tea is put to drying right after sorting & cleaning of the fresh leaves.
Without firming (usually steaming or pan-frying), tea leaves are put to vacuum drying at 30 degree fahrenheit. This uinque green tea has been the world's only green tea drying without firming. |
